Monty Spindler explains some of the critical mast manufacturing processes used by Loftsails dedicated mast program that ensure consistent quality, response and controlled behaviour to work with the sail as intended.
Many sail brands do not have their own mast program and sell what are essentially generic, off-the-shelf masts, often at quite high prices.
This also means they do not have as much control over their production tolerances and specific mast behaviour characteristics, which significantly lessens the overall effect of the combined performance of mast and sail together.
