Description
The RBB AR is a competitive raceboard design built for the full wind range. A synthesis of two proven 2026 racing designs — Raceboardblade 9.5 infused with the shaping elements of the Raceboardblade HW — the AR covers an enormous wind range without compromise. Developed with the Loftsails Raceboard Team, the AR delivers consistent drive, exceptional trim reactivity, and the composure to stay competitive across every heat of the day.
Built for the Full Wind Range
The RBB AR is shaped for both ends of the wind range. Six battens and four cams create a firm, stable profile that generates drive when the wind is light but stays composed when it builds. Where sails optimised for a narrower wind range struggle as conditions shift, the AR responds to firmer trim and remains controlled and efficient throughout.
Higher Aspect Ratio
Increased mast length and reduced boom length deliver a clean, aerodynamically efficient profile with reduced swing weight. The rig feels light and balanced through tacks and gybes regardless of wind strength — an advantage that compounds over a full day of racing in variable conditions. The AR's higher aspect ratio makes pumping significantly easier as well.
Exceptional Trim Reactivity
The AR is especially responsive to downhaul and outhaul adjustments — a defining characteristic for sailors who use on-the-fly trim systems during racing. Small changes produce immediate, usable differences in profile depth and leech behavior, giving the sailor precise control across every leg of the course and every shift in the breeze.
Four TekCam 3s
Four TekCam 3s — 35% lighter than the previous generation — stabilise the upper profile and push it forward, improving drive and stability across the full wind range. The lighter cam system allows the additional cam count without adding weight to the rig. Metallic Cam Interfaces at every contact point ensure smooth, consistent rotation through repeated rigging and racing.
