Launch 15 July
The world's winning sail from 2026 is now in series for 2027.
Reserve yours — ships from autumn 2027Three sails in 2026. Two rigs in 2027.
For 2026, we had three 9.5 race models: the ULW for light winds, the RBB for medium winds, and the HW for strong winds. After our team put our heads together on what we could do to improve the raceboard line, we decided to reduce the models to two for 2027. When you register raceboard blades for a competition, you're legal to register two rigs. Before, you had to make a choice across three designs, and you could be caught out if your choice didn't match the winds that arrived for the racing.

Low-end confidence
The difference between the ULW 27 and the earlier version mainly is the profile is a bit more generous up at the head. Five battens, so it's slightly lighter. The vertical seam placed a little further back — you feel earlier planing and more drive in the lightest breeze.

One sail for medium and strong
We combined the 2026 raceboard blade and high wind design into one — the AR, All-Round. Six battens, three cams, profile worked slightly forward of the ULW — stable power through gusts without feeling heavy in the hands.

Two sails. No overlap.
Now it's very clear. We have the ULW for the low end and the AR for everything else, even the low end. The ULW has its vertical seam placed a little further back — five battens, slightly lighter. The AR has six battens, three cams — profile forward. Together, they cover the full raceboard wind range with confidence.
Engineering the two-sail range
The difference between the ULW 27 and the earlier version mainly is the profile is a bit more generous up at the head — a development from the 26 version that reinforces the low end. For the second design in our range, we have the new AR. It has six battens, three cams. The shape, the profile worked in slightly more forward than the ULW. We combined the 2026 RBB and HW designs into one.
- Battens: ULW 27 — five battens · AR — six battens, three cams
- Seam / profile: ULW — vertical seam further back · AR — profile forward of ULW
- Range role: ULW 27 — low end · AR — medium + strong (replaces 2026 RBB + HW)
