Direct trim response adapts the O2 Freerace...  at minimal trim the Freerace body is full power. Tune the adjustable outhaul, and the O2 Freerace upper-end is turbocharged as the forward-oriented body shaping works with the seven-batten, five-tube internal aerodynamic structure.
At maximum trim the O2 Freerace is slim & stable with an open, harmonically twisting leech… top end speed directly comparable to dedicated cammed racing sails.

Progressive: The O2 Freerace 08 is engineered with:

  • The Loft’s integrated panel concept.
  • D/P C254 narrow 5mil Xply mast panel.
  • D/P T-725 5mil Xply foot, luff & leech panels.
  • Stepped x-ply application.
  • Molded thermo-foam mast/board pad with roll-up strap, line pouch, tack handle and uphaul port.
  • Updated graphics and new xply styles.
  • Soft molded pvc foot edge, foot 2ply and tack batten protectors.
  • Sensitip head batten system.

Planchemag Freerace test 2006: The Loft O2 Freerace 8.4:

“More reinforced than the other sails… most simple to trim and to tend… super stable and one can handle strong gusts. Alive, it breathes extremely and develops a really high level of performance. It is the heartthrob in this test for its extreme versatility.”
