The Loft | New Loft Team rider “Choco” in Australia

Name: Meta "Choco" Sindos
Sail Number: AUS 27
Date of birth: 4th July 1964
Favorite discipline: speed
Home spot: Lake Bonney, Barmera South Australia
Favorite Places: Lake Bonney, Goolwa, Sandy Point
Favourite Sails: Loft Blade 5.6, 6.2 and 6.8

Born in Barmera,South Australia to Greek parents, Meta lived only minutes from lake Bonney and quickly developed a passion for water sports which included sailing, wake boarding, kayaking and in the mid eighties took up windsurfing while working as an Aquatics Instructor.
From those early days he used to race his mates out on the Lake, and going fast soon become an obsession. During the early 90's Choco traveled around South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia to various Speed/Slalom events with numerous top 10 finishes including a World Cup Slalom appearance in Perth in 1992.
The advent of GPS Speed sailing has re-ignited the "need for speed" for sailors all around the world! Armed with his new Loft Blades, Meta has been training both on and off the water, as well as working on his vineyards. Choco is looking forward to a great Spring/Summer of Speed sailing at places like the Goolwa Alpha Channel and Sandy Point.

"Having used a lot of different brand sails over the years, The Loft Blades are- by far- the best "feeling" sails I have ever used… and not only do they feel great, the construction and tuning range is outstanding! Coupled with RDM masts, they are the real deal! Monty and the team need to be commended on their great work."
