The IFCA World Cup started Wednesday 2nd of October to the 7th October in Almanarre, Heyers, France.
16 girls from seven different countries battled for the series board slalom World Championship…
“My objective was to do my best to win.
The first day the wind was very light, I decided to stay at home.
The next day I learned that a heat had been raced in very light wind… weather prediction was difficult because it changed every hour, but it seemed positive for the event.
The following days passed with many good races. We used sail sizes between 7.5 and 6.8. Unfortunately I started with a first race DNS- because of my first day absence.
All in all 12 races were run, 10 of them I won along- with my DNS and one second place finish. In the end a beautiful victory, and a confirmation of my equipment. Loftsails are perfectly adapted to my style of navigation.
Best regards,
Valerie”
