The Browersdam Surf Fest was a sucsessful "first time" experience for the Dutch windsurfing community. The event was set up by the German company Tonix.
I attended to represent my sponsors Exocet and Loft, I also met Heiko from HTS who is the German Loft distributor. The Loft stand was well organized and the sails well presented- the sails where ready on the beach at the HTS and Loft stand for all who wanted to give them a try- and experience the performance of Loftsails. On the water it wasn't only windsurfers testing, there where many young freestylers and some freeriders out on Loft Sails as well.
Some of them- such as Jelle and Rollien Caers- even made attempts on the Ramp, while Roeland DeRyker was sliding some moves with his 360Free. I had lots of fun as well trying out one of the Exocet Long Boards- the "Mini Tanker" (a light wind wave board). As soon as I started plaining on my 5.2 Loft 360Free I was pulling out flakas and willy skippers!
Later I changed boards and went for action on the ramp... the feeling is amazing when you get released at the end of the ramp. Its like- "WOW, there we GO!"
