[Report from Sam Dekeyer]
We went for 3 days to Brouwersdam, a flat water lake in Holland and a good spot for freestylers...
We departed friday morning for a 140km trip with a full load of windsurf equipment. When we arrived at 11 am, the wind was good!... about 15 knots.
I rigged my Loft 360Free 5.8 & Sailboards Tarifa Freestyle board. The water was super flat and super good for freestylemoves; grubbys, spocks, clew first spocks... it is all so easy here!
Saturday was first day of competition, in the morning the wind was enough again for the 360free 5.8 and ST freestyleboard. The kids started their competition, but we adults were on standby. For Sunday 17 knots with sun was forecasted... Sunday morning 9 am we attacked the lake and wind was blowing!... good conditions for all the competitors!
It was big fun... the competition started for us about 11 am... 33 competitors, heats were 6 minutes, we completed a double elimination.
The wind was blowing harder in the afternoon- still perfect powered for the 5.8. My girlfriend Charlotte snaped pics of us all of us, really nicework!
I finished in 6th place together with Jelle Caers- also a Loft teamrider!
Young Rolien Caers won the Xstreamgames in the ladies category.
