Loftmasts are carefully controlled in design and construction to have "constant-curve" flex character. All Loftmasts measure 64% bend at base (lower 1/4), 76% bend at tip (upper 1/4).

Autoclave processes The LoftMasts are constructed using carbon fiber pre-pregs which are cured using temperature-specific autoclave processes. This process produces masts with the highest possible laminate qualities; no air entrapment for maximized mast integrity. Carbon fibers layers The LoftMasts include an inner spiral of carbon fibers for compression strength. Three layers of unidirectional carbon fibers run longitudinally (without crimp) for maximum compression strength. The LoftMasts production process allows for fine adjustment of the spacing and distribution of the carbon fibers in the three intermediate layers. Adjusting specific fiber-layups allow our mast flex-curves to be fine tuned and achieve perfect mast-sail compatibility. Integrated-ferrule The LoftMasts are produced with an integrated-ferrule at the top/bottom joint. This method eliminates the possibility of mast pre-bend... the mast flex-curve remains accurate and your windsurfing performance is absolutely optimal.
