Design... Quality time with the wind!
Progressive windsurfing design is the expansion of effective wind range.
The Loft delivers power in low winds and ease of handling in high winds which makes your time on the water more efficient and fun!
 Loftsails are designed with pronounced forward body-shape orientation and high skin-tension. These two simple elements work together to expand your range... Loftsails are trim-reactive, soft and elastic.
Soft trim (reduced from the printed mast&boom lengths) will directly power-up the sail for light wind conditions with sail shape that powers from head to foot.
Hard trim (setting the sail at the printed mast&boom lengths) will set the sail effectively for the mid-to-upper wind range with a slim body and easy handling... the sail shape is flat, free, and easy.
Design development
The development of quality windsurfing sail designs has been my passion since the late 70s. I live windsurfing and sails from The Loft are my product. Sail R&D involves many windsurfing disciplines; from Formula racing through waves to freestyle... efficient designs that perform in the broadest possible range of conditions is the goal.
 Design progression can only realized windsurfing... feeling the wind interact with the sail. Progressive design can only be confirmed in one way; pairs testing with rig variables minimized. I windsurf with specialists from all windsurfing disciplines as Loftsails evolve!
