CONSTRUCTION :: build quality is
our strength.
The Loft builds on success… your sail`s
longevity is The Loft´s top priority, so you keep on
riding.
Each Loftsail is the result
of detailed construction techniques and first quality sailmaking materials
applied to progressive original designs.
Construction Highlights
Integration We build our
sails with panel overlap at the head, clew and tack.
Our construction method significantly improves sail integrity
with minimal weight.
We apply our integrated building technique to
all three sail corners. This method is most visible
at the
clew where three panels overlap forming two radiating 2plys and a pair
of double seams extending into the sail.

XGrid Exterior The Lip and the
O2 both feature this simple, effective design
character which places durable materials around the sail perimeter with lightweight monofilm interior.
Panel Layout
In all three
2003 sail lines
the tack to head luff panel maintains
integrity as the sail is loaded by the downhaul.
The forward
vertical seam shaping interacts with the curves cut into the body panels.
The result is seam shape placed
forward and low, where it is effective and
efficient.
The Loft panel layout eliminates unnecessary seams and efficiently shapes the sail body.
