on tip designs...
Many attempts have been made over the last few years to improve the aerodynamics of the head.

I believe it was Gaastra that began a commercial push with the “total flow” design. Being more complicated, heavy and requiring specific masts, Gaastra discarded the concept after only a few seasons.

Pryde, Simmer, Gun and others have developed special tip designs and discarded them for various practical reasons... moulded parts and specific hardware being added complication, weight and expense.

Although these designs have come and gone, the need to optimize tip aerodynamics remains.

The solution is the Sensitip... light, uncomplicated, durable and including a dynamic element that none of the other tip designs include: natural tension and flex.

The Sensitip design is activated with downhaul tension, flexing the Sensitip rod as downhaul tension is applied.

The result is an extension of your feel up and out at the rig tip, just as a bird extends its tip feathers in flight.

The Sensitip meets the requirements for ultra-lightness and durability and goes one step farther as it effectively mimics the dynamics of a natural wing.  Sensitip... only from The Loft.
