-Gauthier, where is your home spot?
GL- South of France. I was living in Montpellier, now I am in Marseille for my studies and for windsurfing (windsurf spot: Carro!).

-Which firms sponsor you?
GL- The Loft, AHD boards, Mystic, Aeron, Groupe Helice.
-Please list your best competition results.
GL- Actually i practice alot in the Olympic class RSX), I train in the "Pôle France Voile" team in Marseille.
08 is my first year in funboard competition, I finished 5th at the French wave competition at Carro.
In the French slalom championships I am currently 4th after 2 events.
-Which competitions are your favorite (Formula? Wave? Slalom?) Why?
GL- RSX because of my Olympic dream!

Wave as well, because it is never the same conditions... different everywhere, everytime.

I like to travel to find waves and good sessions. My last trip was 7 months around Australia! I was also 2 weeks in Guincho, and a week in Brittany this summer.

Slalom is really nice as well, better than long distance- because it is more intersting with not only speed, but also some tactics and good gybes are important.
-Your date of birth?, your weight?
GL- 29/11/86, 180cm, 70kg.
-Are you satisfied with the French windfsurfing competitions? How could they be improved?
GL- 3 events for the French Championship is not enough. There are lots of good spots in France, in particular for wavesailing... I went sailing in Ile Aux Vaches- it is an awesome place, but sadly no comps...
-Please describe a perfect day of windsurfing.
GL- Wake up around 9am in the morning and going to surf all morning. Then having lunch, and little rest while waiting for the wind to fill in (example seabreeze). 25-30knots arrives, and I go to sail with my Lip Wave 4,3m², my small wave board in a 3meters swell!
In the evening having barbecue with my mate, we talk about our perfect session, then finally going to the disco to have fun with chics!! lol
