"One again I did my yearly trip to Sandy Point Speed Fortnight, 4000km round trip this was my forth year in a row. I just keep going back- its an awesome place.
This year I was on all new Gear- Loft Blades, Starboards and C3 fins.
The new stuff paid off with a couple of pb's... peak speed 42.5 and 5x10 39.3, wind at 25-30 knots. The wind direction was west -very broad, with swell at the bottom of the coarse.
I was used my 5.6 Blade 2008, it was rock solid down the course on the Starboard Speed 49, C3 Venom 25 proto... sweet combo, I just wanted more wind!
I am very happy with the gear, and I cannot wait until next year!
