The Loft | Loft team rider Pascal Somers 2nd at the Belgian Speed week

"Hi Monty,
In the end i finished 2nd at the Belgian speedweek in Grussian, France last
week.
The only size I used in the competition was my 08 Blade 5.6.
Before the competition, I sailed with the 6.8, 6.2 and 4,6. The Blade 08s feel so stable, especially in wind gusts and overpowerd conditions...  and in light winds they still kill and destroy like the 07 Blades!

Top 3:

  1. Pat van Hoof (F2/Mauisails)
  2. Pascal Somers (AHD/Loft)
  3. Wolfgang Verlaeckt (Tabou/Gaastra)

It was a tough competition for me as i'm a little light and short for speedsailing (1m76,  74 kg).  I was riding sails a lot smaller then the most guys (Blade 5,6) whho were on 6.5 or 7.0s.  I think this proves once more that Blades are so effective in directing all the power generated from the wind in to speed.  The Blades 08 are the most light-feeling and stable full-on race sails I have ever surfed.
