The Loft Lip and O2 share The Loft’s fundamental sail engineering technique- the Panel Integration Concept.

At the clew, tack and head, sail panels are overlapped; this simple technique dramatically improves integrity.

The clew is where one can most easily see our effective building technique. The four seams that extend into the sail body from the clew allow all three panels at the boom to each extend under the eyelet and create a pair of radial 2plys into the sail body, and a 3ply at the clew. 

The Loft Panel Integration Concept significantly improves sail integrity/durability with minimal weight.
