What Mast

Hi all.

I 've been riding a 145lt freeride board with a 5,9 O2 sail in flat/choppy water with wind speed of 12-20 knots. I have just been getting into harness and can easily plan (but no footstraps yet), so as you can understand i do get some catapults .. My weight is 74 kgs and my question is :

Should i get an RDM 75% carbon masts or a 55% one ? ..

Will the 75% be lighter and generally better so to help me involve in my windsurfing with my O2 sail (also with jybes and waterstart) or will it be more sensitive than the 55% one and perhaps break while trimming or having a catapult ?

If you have the budget for more carb it is the easier option. Higher carb content makes the rig feel lighter.
Take care to trim well! Many intermediate windsurfers do not apply enough downhaul tension. Soft tension (3-5 cm under printed spec) will make the rig catapult-prone in medium winds and especially the upper end.

Thank you for the advice regarding the triming Monty.

So you trust that i will not have any problems with the 75% breaking compared to the 55% carbon one. Right ?
